6月！今月が終わると2026年もあと半年ですね。気持ちは焦りますが、のんびりと行きたいものです。
気持ちが落ち着かなくてソワソワしてしまう時には深呼吸と素敵なBGMで心を鎮めたい…
今回はそんな時に一人で静かに聴きたい曲、昔見た映画『バグダッド・カフェ』（1987年）の有名なテーマ曲です。
歌っているのはジェヴェッタ・スティールさん。R&B、ゴスペル歌手だそうで、さすがです。間奏の美しいハーモニカにも癒されます。
YouTube見たらたくさんの人がカバーしていて大御所バージョンも色々ありましたが、やっぱりオリジナルが一番好きです♪
June already! Once this month is over, half of 2026 will be behind us.
Time seems to fly, and it’s easy to feel a little restless. When that happens, I like to take a deep breath and calm my mind with some beautiful music.
One song I always return to is “Calling You,” the famous theme song from the 1987 film Bagdad Cafe. It’s sung by Jevetta Steele, an incredible R&B and gospel singer. The beautiful harmonica solo in the middle is soothing as well.
I found many cover versions on YouTube, including some by legendary artists, but for me, the original remains the best.
