[ Memory of murder] 2003 released
“Parasite” won by the Academy Award for Best Work in 4 categories including director Jun Joon-ho’s work.
I saw “Parasite” before receiving the Academy Award, but as a fan of Director Jun Juno, I thought it would be inferior to other nominated works even if I looked back on it.
I was surprised to hear that I won the 4th category and thought that the Academy Awards had fallen, but I think it’s the charm of American filmmakers… (Because the atmosphere of Ponjuno’s winning scene was good).
But I think it’s a big upset since 2007, when my favorite director, Martin Scorsese, won the director award for his remake “Deparded”.
I can understand the granting of gratitude at the time of Martin Scorsese, but this time it seems like it is a little service to the Trump administration who threatens to pull out the US troops from South Korea. (My delusion)
The most notable one is the screenplay prize and Morse code, which is interesting, but nothing is connected. I thought that it was a bit unreasonable to connect the smell.
Still, Lee Jung Eun, who was the first housekeeper to be kicked out, was good… (The only piece of this movie)
I love Korean movies, but if I could win an Academy Award for that amount, I’d like to send it to Suo Director of “Shall we Dance”. It’s my bitterness that I expected too much to be the best movie directed by Pon Jun Ho.
I think that many of you became fans of Korean movies by watching “Recollection of the Murder” that I will discuss today, but what did you guys think?
I watched it for a long time because I was doing it with wowwow the other day, but if you are interested in watching this masterpiece, parasite, I would definitely like to see it.
It is drawn based on the serial murder case that aimed only at women who actually happened in the peaceful rural area of South Korea in the late 1980s.
There are consecutive murders of girls in rural areas with good security.
During the investigation, a local detective, played by Song Kang-ho, identifies a young man with intellectual disability as the criminal, and compels himself torture and falsify evidence. The suspect who didn’t seem sane told the killing method and seemed to solve the case, but the young detective (Sang Kyung) who came from Seoul who participated in the investigation saw the suspect’s unspreaded hand and the crime was unsuccessful. I disagree that it is possible. Torture becomes a problem and the suspect is released. The error of this initial investigation will cause the 3rd and 4th murder. Still, it turns out that the crime was happening on a rainy day when the radio was singing the song “Melancholy Letters,” and a young man requesting the song emerged on the investigation line. And the case started to move…
Song Gung-ho was good, of course, but Kim Sang-kyung, who played the young detective from the city, is great for this movie. Both became actors representing Korea.
Images reminiscent of old Japanese movies, detailed productions, fear of criminals approaching without violent scenes, and screenplays are perfect.
I think this movie is the gold standard of Korean movies.
